Battery vacuum for home

Hey peeps, thinking of getting a battery vacuum cleaner for home use, not too phased if it is heavy as long as it is well balanced. Who of you have something like this and how are you finding it. Had a look at those Dyson jobbie by Hirsch but goeie fok those stuff are expensive. Now I don't want these shitty 18v jobbies that sucks (ok well truth be told they don't :)) but R10k+ just for a vacuum is a little too much

Any one has any or can recommend (preferably with real world xp)

Expensive at first if you do not already have the necessary battery and charger. but, it work like a charm! We have the 3.0 AH battery and takes only 20-25 minutes to fully charge it.

The battery and charger can be used for other Makita cordless products.
 
We brought our Gtech Air Ram from the UK. Its really good and battery lasts. It (older version) is bad at getting into corners though...

We have the Bosch version, came with 2 batteries so while one is charging you’re using the other.

Mounts on the wall and battery also compatible with other Bosch tools. I think we paid about R5k a few months ago.

@gertvanjoe I would read reviews on cordless stick vacuums. I read overseas reviews then search for those models in ZA, the more of a sh1thole we become, the fewer are available locally. From what I remember Dyson gets great reviews.
 
I bought a no-name brand cheapie and it sucked worse than a drug-addicted whore trying to give a bj.

I then went the Boch route and got this for R3k on special at Takealot. It gone up a bit now in price but it works like Rajah on a cheesecake.

I have the dyson v10. Bought just before lockdown in March.
It works really well.

Previously had other corded and cordless brands. But, they never worked well.

Did it come with 2 batteries?
 
I bought a R1400 Black&Decker Pivot thingy, but it stopped charging after a while, so I wouldn't really recommend that.

Currently using a R1200 Bosch 20.4v Move which seems to do the job. Though it's not uber strong and the battery doesn't last long.
 
You are going to strugle to get 1800W of electrical power out of a battery operated vacuum cleaner. Like a caravan or mobile Home it is fine for holiday. just drop the Pretense and get a real one.
 
I have a black and decker one below, works only for 40mins on high power but low power for about 1hour-ish.
It's not really practical for a large home.

It is an Electrolux vacuum that can be used in the full-size config or has a hand-held unit. It comes with powered bristles which is excellent for pet hair. We can do the whole house on one charge (3bedroom townhouse). It has a stand that can be mounted for charging.

What could be better?


EDIT: I already have a robot vacuum - this is more for corners and anything above floor height, not for large scale vacuuming of the whole house
 
Resurrection of old thread. Please suggest vacuum cleaner, one with the cord. Our hoover sonic packed up after 3 years.

Come on @surface you are not new around here. What are you after? Long life, water/dry? Cheapest?

I can see you know going into Game and walking up to a sales person exclaiming I want a vacuum. Information is required..

LOL :)

Long life is a pipe dream. Only Samsung 2000W lasted for 11 years for us and I don't see that model in market anymore.

Here are the specs

1. Dry vacuum cleaner only
2. 2000W upwards
3. Max price is probably 5K
4. With cord only
