I have a HTC Desire S on contract (TopUp) from Vodacom that I believe is still under the original 24-month warranty (last upgraded around September 2011). Anyway, the battery seems to have gone - is the battery covered by either the manufacturer or operator warranty?

I had my galaxy s2 battery replaced under warranty which was 3 months in too the contract from mtn.

usually a 6 month warranty on batteries, iirc

For the sake of completeness, HTC has a 12 month warranty on batteries. So no luck for me.
