I just got my Chaintech 6800GT this morning :D

Running it on an AMD - is it PCIX ?
Im willing to bet that your card on my P4 HT 3Ghz 1GB DDR2 RAM will out-perform your card on an AMD setup.
Point is - I'm trying to find somebody to let me test my theory - i'm just a dreamer.

My Setup
Amd 64 3000 Winchester
Msi Neo2 Platinum
1Gig OcZ DDR400
Chaintech 6800GT AGP gfx card

I will post my scores soon then we could put your theory to rest.
PS you wil have to find your own 6800GT :D

Post yer scores, but pleeeeeze - post yer CPU scores as well. 3dMark 2005.
I'll post my figures here tonight - running a 6600GT.
I'm almost 100% convinced that my CPU scores will smash your CPU scores, and therefore, my other scores should beat you as well if I had the same Graphics card.
And - i've found somebody willing to lend me their 6800GT (Gagabyte - but it'll do).
Now - where do you buy some time to fetch the card, run the tests, return the card. sigh.

That link - she not work. If you're a pro user, my Project Id = 638344, but I have no idea how to use the project ID to find the results, as I'm not a pro user.

Your figures don't include the CPU figures, and that's what i'm interested in.
- My CPU Gets 4576 CPUMarks at 3015 GHz.
- My 6600GT gets 3298 3DMarks which makes your configuration about 25% faster than mine.

But I really want to see if Intel is kicking AMD's ass on the CPU side between us.

intel is not kicking amd

i searched and saw tests the p4 3.2 extreme editions only just keeps up witht eh amd 3000+ the 3.0 sees its ass big time except with mp3 encoding intel is much faster

but gaming intel cant hold a candle if you wanna game u go for amd end of story

AMD IS BETTER THAN INTEL...

pentium has had its day.

Killa - That's what i'm trying to proove. I've read the hype, and followed the mainstream thought, but bottom line i've found is that my 3015 MHz CPUMarks scores kick AMD's 3000 Mhz scores dead.
And - searching and comparing with my graphics card selected - 6600GT (NON SLI), i.e. Scores less than 6000, cos more than 6000 are all SLI, the results are heavy Intel is winning.
Search: CPU = all, CPU Clock = 2999 -> 3111, Graphics = NVidia GeForce 6600 GT, All Drivers, All OS's, Score Range 3000 -> 6000.
In that case, Intel are killing AMD.

Now Same search, just switched to 6800 GT Graphics Card, now intel is winning again, the only AMD's that come close or are better are the 64's, and that's not eegzaktlee a fair comparison.

So - I don't see where you get your results showing AMD is kicking Intel.
Can you gimme the search specifics please.

P.S. 05.

I'm running a P4 'Northwood' 2.8 @ 3.26 and a BFG 6800GT and get around 5300-5400 in 3d Mark 05.

Edit: Keep in mind that 3d Mark benchmarks are a complete load of crap unless you run them at higher settings. This is because the default settings (1024x768, no AA) you would never use in a real gaming situation. Who runs at 800x600 or 1024x768 on today's cards?

The CPU becomes less of an issue as you increase resolution. At a certain point your system becomes GPU rather than CPU limited. In most games P4's and AMD's perform very close to each other at higher resolutions.

me, i run @ 1024*769. 9600xt thats why

That's why I said "today's cards" ;) Anyway 3d Mark 05 seems to be less CPU dependent than previous versions because even at 1024x768 it is GPU limited.

cant u play bf2 with a radeon 9200? it does'nt support it but come on!

In my old comp it has a Radeon 9000 :D (just to play LAN) and it works. Not sure why it doesn't support your Radeon 9200.
