Battlefield 2

Well it seems to be stuck on 10065 for the past two days now Killa. I have played on the Sgs ranked II server last night and played on ranked one later that same night. I am still standing on above score.
 
ok well all i can say is that sometimes it takes awhile

but do this when u play again write your score down before you play
then check after if it doesnt work after a week then your in kuk hehe
 
go check on www.got3n.com and see if they show the correct stats... what site you checking yours on?

many sites got blacklisted by EA for mishandling the stats, yet the site above gets all the stats, dont know how they do it but its good... for now...
 
Thanks useless still the same. I will play today and see after a couple of maps if it changes. I wonder if this could be to do with the fact that one gets promoted to coporal @ 10500 points? So close yett so far :D
 
sorry Wisecrack... maybe all your stats data is clogged somewhere... it seems every weekend EA has something up their sleeve to mess around with our stats on the ranked servers... i am still 2500 points too far for Corporal but getting there... :)
 
Hi guys,

I'm writing on behalf of my hubby. I need help with the punkbuster issues - It keeps kicking him off BF2. If I dont manage to sort this out - I worry he might just have heart failure and fall off his pc chair. I've given up on trying to get any attention. But i refuse to take him to the emergency room after he has a heart attack over an online game! (I'm 24 and he's 45 - you think the doc will believe me it was BF2?) :rolleyes:

He has downloaded the pb file and updated the version - but still they keep kicking him.

We're not so bright in the IT field - so maybe we downloaded it incorrectly, or didnt put it in the right place?

PLEASE HELP!
 
@Grahamnb - look in google for PBWEB, its a tool which when extracted INTO the PB folder under BF2 and executed will update the files which PB uses.

I have also had issues with being kicked out of BF2 due to update problems with PB.

Hope this helps and keeps you guys away from the ER... :D
 
Thank you for you reply!!! He says he's almost finished playing a game, and then he's off to shower- if this is true, I'll jump on his machine and try that. I think he has got the PB tool, but just hasn't put it into the right place.

Hopefully I can sort it while he's away from pc. Life will be happier....

You know, I would love to find out why certain people get kicked and others like myself never have a problem. Could it be a hardware thing? And if it is...... WHY? :confused:

Anyway....... can someone sticky this thread? Pretty please! No reason really, I just want it sticky-ed. :D
 
I used to get kicked for the usual TK'ing... i mean... I SWEAR that the Stinger missile was locked on the enemy plane and then *poof* there goes a friendly Blackhawk with 6 passengers...

Now its PB which kicks me out occasionaly with some update issues... whats next?
 
I seriously never have been kicked for PB in any BF game. Have been kicked for TK once tho. I just can't see why some people get kicked and some don't. When people were being kicked in BF1942 it was because they had ISDN. What you on useless.

Oh and uh............ sticky the thread already someone!!! :)
 
i am on ISDN 128kb... the PB issues have only cropped up after all thise leaky patches which left some SGS servers running mixed versions so people could play online... i think sometimes the SGS servers get delayed when they update their PB and later on force it on the players who are online... but due to the high bandwidth requirements of BF2 i think the updates time out and PB kicks you out... quite irritating...
 
why are sneakily trying to fix his computer lol

tell us the setup of his pc
does he have a router or usb modem

the router could be faulty or the firewall on it is blocking bf2

I had this problem a few days ago and came across a tip that worked:

Once you're in the game pull down the Console (press "~") and enter

"pb_security 0"

Apparently the problem is that the client is failing the server, so you as a player can elect to ignore the issue.
 
damn pb has this issue!

whats with the morons on the servers these days?

there are too many people ptk for walking over mines, running infront of cars.

and the other night, 3 times during the night, i was on a complete idiot team, they lost all their maps and the only guy left as a squad leader , of my squad aswell, was in a vehicle with other plebs, i type to him to get out (cause my voip doesn't work when i'm dead) , he voip's back to me, "can't you just spawn on me man", so i type back, more frantically now cause more people are dying and he's about to be only person alive left, "GET OUT NOW SO WE CAN SPAWN", he voips back again some more crap, we still have more tickets left than the enemy, the IDIOT will not get out the vehicle, instead he decides to take the entire USMC on , on his own! he dies, instant map end.
dumb moron! well on the next map, the server moved him to the other side, so i hunted him down many times and blew a hole through him! but damn, whats with these idiots.

I also spawned onto a map, someone had parked a jeep in the garage but it was at 90 degree's, i got tired of waiting for a vehicle and decided to get it out the garage with like a 7 point turn, so i'm in the garage, reversing and edging the vehicle out, this idiot team mate runs into the garage now while i'm doing this and behind the vehicle and i reverse over him, he then ptk's me.

it seems these days, people just punish for anything, even if they didn't know what happened! which leaves a server full of morons, cause the decent people don't ptk when they don't know what happened. i've run infront of a vehicle, by mistake, was out of a shed, but i don't ptk for it, its dumb, it does nothing, i ptk the idiot who comes at me in a chopper when i'm the only person sitting on a field with no bad guys around me and shoots the crap out of me, i mean dude, WTF???? but i sit there and see if he says sorry first, most decent players do!

maybe i should become an instant PTK, that way half these morons will get kicked off the server too.

there needs to be a quick 5 quesiton IQ test on each level as you start, if you can't answer enough or quick enough, you don't get to play the level!

I wonder if we can get battlerecordings to actually watch and find these morons!


And another crap thing in the game, sometimes when you want to change sides, you click on the other army, even though your dead, it kills you again, and takes -2 off your score, then it DOESN'T even change your side!!!!!!!!
 
It would help us if you could give the error message that pb kicks him by. Ask him and post it here. I had a similar problem with PB. Tell him to reinstall the 1.2 patch. This solved my pb problem permanantly.
 
BF2 thread stuck to top of forum.

Wahahahahaha!! Too true mate..

Having a lot of the same 'garage' incidents lately.. The guy runs infrot of the jeep.. TKed. I immediately let out a big sorry, what do I get in return? I nice big 'You have been punished..'

I think majority of these type of players are CS players :(
