Battlefield 2

I read the "review" and they were not complaining about the game but rather at the patch and that the game wasn't 100% complete at the release.

Here's what Tomshardware thought about BF2: http://www.tomshardware.com/game/20050716/index.html

Here's their Conclusion of the game:

Conclusion

Don't let the problems listed above put you off from getting Battlefield 2. They can be annoying, but once you get into a decent server - of which there are plenty - you'll be hard pressed to pull yourself out again. Should you also get involved in the massive clan scene surrounding Battlefield 2, then you should double your fun.

Epic maps? Check. Massive vehicles? Check. Cracking gameplay? Check. Battlefield 2 is an online classic, and anyone who wants to call themselves an online gamer would be loathe to miss it.

To me the biggest problem is time. There is not enough of it in a day / night to play BF2. Also no other games get touched, because again that would impact on my BF2 time. "Just one more round" usually turns into an all night thing.

The other problem is the boss (wife). I don't give her the attention she needs and BF2 might just drop me in divorce court.

*Me stand up and hold my hand in the air* - "I'm a BF2-holic and need help".

BF2 is quite an addiction... JOMM syndrome is mean in this game... Just One More Map... at least i have made my timetable for 2-3 hours every odd day and weekends for at least 2 x 6 hour sprints... i found out the hard way that playing during week days till 1 AM is bad for your work...

is it possible to play bf2 online when you hav a pirated copy?(iso's with crack and serial) just askin for a friend

hehehe, friend...

erm, i dont think so, since you must connect to the account servers of EA to verify your key.

right?

I play using a NO-CD'd version, legal CD key.
/me wonders why you can't just buy another Key online. It's really stupid, as it is I need another key, and it's too much hassle to go and buy another copy.

what program are you guys using to mount your iso's?? i'm tired of lugging my cd around in my laptop, it makes horrible noises!

nope and im glad because no one should ever be allowed to pirate this game and play online purely because its the one game worth paying 300 bucks for, i would even have paid 500 for it. i get 3 hours a night plus 12 on a sunday that ummm wait .... 24 hours a week if you consider my g/f gets me friday and saturday.

so 300 for that kind of enjoyment is just awesome.

im thinking of starting bf2 AA anyone wanna join me lol

yes EA rushed the game but its better than doom 3 or hl 2 comes out a year after release date and whats funny about that is they still patch it, which leads me to think that waiting to a release a game does not mean they get it right

Daemon Tools works nicely.

might i suggest the mini iso image? doesnt take up much hdd space and it works fine...

BF2 is for kiddies who like eyecandy .... real gamers play CS :).

And there you have it. Need I say more.

P.S Stop derailing this thread.

lol well if eye candy is riding a jeep around then jumping in an attack chopper from there you climb into a plane
or you can go around in a tank in an apc AA or you can foot it with lots of different classes

this is bf 2:
so much to do you can never get bored

this is CS: run die buy run die buy run die buy GETS OLD REAL FAST

Each time I play this game it amazes me more. I mean just when you think you have seen it all something else happens and you think to yourself damn Dice really put alot of work into this.

Dont get me wrong there is some nasty gameplay bugs ,but then again that is what patches are for :D

Well, you need a legal CD-Key to play online.

BUT, I used an illegal cd-key for awhile!! (Until I had the bucks to buy a legal copy). It seems that EA's auth servers are quite often down, and then yo are able to log-in with any CD-key.

:)

you must have noticed how more cohesive the squads have become of late... and that makes their management as a commander much better than having lone wolfs running around doing their own thing... experience in this game really shows with the way most veterans play...
