Battlefield 3

tries to claim every vehicle as his
swears too much and often very crudely
does not help squaddies
blows up own team vehicles he does not like
throws a hissy fit when killed by something other than a gun ..... every time
 
I've been watching the MW3 live stream on machinima, and I was considering getting MW3 next year or so, as bf3 is awesome right now.. but looking at MW3, I don't know if I could go backwards from bf3 - even graphically, that game looks terrible in comparison - but mostly, the maps look so cramped. I kinda liked MW2 the most, BO got boring for me, and this one looks like BO visuals crossed with a sped up/smaller map version of MW2. Watching a MW3 game play video doesn't feel like I'm seeing anything new or interesting.

It makes you take notice how bf3 IS the next gen of gaming. I'm loving the depth.

Gotta agree there. I know some people that got it and it they swear it's the best thing since sliced bread. After watching vids of it, I found myself continually checking to see I wasn't watching a BLOPS or MW2 vid, as it looks THAT dated. Even the gameplay doesn't excite me. I really loved BLOPs and thought I'd always stick with CoD for multiplayer after that.... until the BF3 beta was released :)
 
I have the whole weekend to play!!! last weekend had a company retreat weekend, and playing in the evening is just to much after a whole day doing IT

Can't wait to jam

I also thought origin crashed or something last night a couple of times, but then realized its only because I had the highest score.
Think the kiddies are trying to pile up the MVP ribbons.

My BF3 experience thus far:
I played COD from the days of United Offensive through to COD4, then retired from competitive online gaming in December 2009.
Bought BF3, took me a good 15hrs to learn the ropes.
*Still can't fly heli's or jets
*Only learned to spot enemies on page 12# of this thread
*Learned how to use defib after 10hrs
*I STILL can't plant/defuse)

I'm having A LOT of fun, thinking I won't be buying COD. I might even consider joining a clan again, as my old COD clan disbanded.

Things that irks me a bit:
*Guys playing to get the ribbons/medals etc, seems like some okes are so set on getting 50 sniper ribbons, they sacrifice team play and still snipe on metro, etc
*Rush doesn't seem to be the best MP game type to play if you can't communicate, therefore I'm not liking it as much, but I'm guessing it would be amazing when two teams/clans on Teamspeak can battle in this game mode.
*I'd love a form of Capture-The-Flag to be introduced, knowing it would be very difficult to implement with all the vehicles etc.
*I find it weird that you can dodge a snipers bullet after he fires it, since it travels so slowly.

Lastly: I'm also going to stat-whore: My aim is to get the 30 melee ribbons for a special dog-tag. I started knifing last night, and am on three ribbons :)

Look out for me in-game: My nick is Re83L (back in the COD2 days a 8 and 3 looked like B and e :) )

Fav servers: iGame - any of them :)

I also had this last night, and seeing as Metro only was about 10k Score (wirt awards), not recording my scores made be a *bit* sour. Luckily, the scores came in about an hour after my last match. Did you check your battlelog today? Maybe the scores are there now.

I don't see my scores either or even the battle reports, but I do see the ribbons that I got.
 
Everytime you get a ribbon unlock medal the games saves it. But the games does not save round scores, so if you DC the round scores are lost but not the unlocks medals and badges.

Nope not true, if the server crashes it doesn't record it but i got kicked off a lot last night and got the kills.

Heh, had a couple of hectic rounds against you last night, especially on metro. Was great fun, though!

I was playing as SpiritCaravan, by the way.

Open your player profile and play the game get a unlock alt tab and refresh your profile the unlock will show.
 
Finally got my headset today.

How do I setup teamspeak? I know it was discussed on one of the BF threads but don't know what page?

What do I say when I login?

Yep, mine is also not updating. Last feed is when I reached rank 28, and I'm 31 now. That is also how I know that the server of last night wasn't updating, because I just got rank 31 and after I quit, it still said I'm half way though rank 30. It did update after a while though, thank goodness for that, but my battlefeed hasn't.
 
The Crak mixed server is always stacked, full of Crak, on the one team, but it is always the losing team. Or have been at least in my experience playing there. :)
 
well I have had to get a few stuff twice after being disconnected from the server.

got a Service Medal that I had to redo, got some Support unlocks that I had to redo, even had to redo a rank up.

And I think I got kicked coz I kept killing one of the crak players yeaterday and he kept crying about it in the chat
