Battlefield 3

i hope the ping thing will be sorted out today. Its annoying when all the people keeps on asking what there ping is.

The patch is a complete ****up. Very few people are able to get in and get kicked out because of some PB error.

Thanks DICE/EA you ****ing retards.

They have put up a notice on Battlelog:

"NOTICE We are aware of the issue following today´s patch. We are working on resolving this as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!"

Do they not test the software before hand? There is almost no one playing atm.

when they gonna fix the damavand peak heli glitch, im tired of flying over the mountain and just dying

i started my origin last night to download the patch. When i logged in then origin said to me i must re-register my account and put in my product key for BF3, but i said cancel and logged out. Logged back in again then the same message did not appear, but there is no update to download. when i check for update's then it says the game is up 2 date. So i dont know. Any one had the same problem

As expected, the 7770 performs on par with the current 6850 in BF3. Time to dip into my savings...

Or maybe hold out for the 7850... ARG!

I'm looking into buying a new gfx card as well. Was thinking some gg overpowered 560. But after reading some stuff about the new geforce cards being in the same price range, I'm considering waiting a bit longer. And hammering out BF3 on my current 260gtx :P

There are some unranked servers that can be used for training.

In this game I'm not even a pilot's backside so these would come in handy for me if I became inclined to fly but really some of the okes need to use these servers to learn to operate ANY vehicle.

Tanks for example: You jump in as gunner at the start of a round and begin to get nervous as the unattentive driver bashes into every possible obstacle on his way to nowhere. Then, as predicted, an enemy tank comes into view right on queue and your driver sits there admiring that view instead of taking evasive action. At this point alarm bells are ringing in your head if they aren't already blaring in the crew compartment! You swear, you curse, you pop off a few 50 cal rounds at the enemy vehicle in the hope that numbnuts catches a wake up. The only time he/she/it does catch a wake up is when the first enemy sabot round impacts your tank and then your driver begins with his checklist to see whether he's run over yet another 1982 Datsun Pulsar. At this point he realises that not only is he in control of driving the vehicle but that the big stickie-outie thing mounted on the funny turret thingy is also fully under his management. He returns fire only to miss wildly with a round going into orbit over the offending tank's now very-much-pointing-at-you turret. Even though you're packing repairs in your bag of tricks, they'd be useless when it takes 10 shots to get on target. So you bail, you run and you just put it all behind you if you're lucky enough to live.

:D :D :D

Sounds all too familiar!!! I have (more than once) been taken out by an enemy tank/ A/T soldier/landmine that I have not seen, not sure if I am going blind, or if my graphics need a tweak, but all I am saying is that sometimes (as passenger) it helps both if you do a little spotting... ;)

Well here's BF bug#2579956: Certain users (namely me, that is) cannot spot jack squat when in any type of vehicle. I spot away 'til the cows come home and nothing happens. The rose comes up but no spotting occurs.

It happens to me too, but not all the time. Only now and then.

Not once in my 300 odd hours have I spotted from a vehicle. Ever. And not through lack of trying either.

Wish I knew why this happens - probably because I went and did something so un-console like actually customising the key for spot/commo rose. Same thing for gunner zoom in attack helo. Mine does nothing. Difference there is that I can't even find the key to customise. People have laughed at me with "dude, right click!" comments and so on but right clicking was my first instinct. Such a good game and yet so plagued by random, annoying BS.

Zoom optics is a perk you have to choose, or the pilot has to choose, not sure who's perks apply.

I've never actually flown a chopper but I'm 99% sure that in the gunner setup there is a zoom optics perk which of course I've selected. Can't seem to get it to work though. :/
