yeah that was my thought as well.

it seems the pacth is there, but some1 else says it is at 200mb :confused:

mine also says 322mb so not sure, but yeah patch should be there as it is a "Day 1" patch :D

I wonder if the people who bought the disc version will receive this patch on the disc (depending on when the discs where made) or will it be a download. So people on 384k should be prepared that there may be a 322mb patch to get on day 1. AND if this 322mb thing is not the day 1 patch DICE mentioned, then they may have more to download on top of the 322mb... maybe?
 
no doubt they will have it on disc, since it's a day 1 PATCH.

it will most likely be downloaded and BATTLELOG is most likely like the auto updater in BC2 so they will be told if need to update.

I am quite sure this is the patch seeing as 1 of the things in it, is COMMA ROSE and doubt people will be very happy (although I think many are still unhappy because WTF isn't it already in the actual final build) if they had to start without it.

but hey, let us wait and see... we will know soon enough

but you can bet that the Americans will have something to say in the 2/3 days they have ahead of us.

luckily we are not Japan who has to wait till 2nd November :o

EDIT: well let me write a copy of the pre-load and then let us see in the week.

pretty sure if you willing to pick up will also be quite easy.

what is preferred location though? closest..

A day one patch involves changes to the code that were made in the time between when it was sent to be pressed to disc and packaged (when the game went 'gold', as it is called) and when it will be released to consumers.

Otherwise, they wouldn't need a patch, since they could just press the discs using the updated build.

Why released the origin version with a patch though? They could upload the finished game very late surely? I under the disk issue they cannot really have a beta 30 days and before then send out million of copies before the release.

Not that it matter, 300mb is not very much. Even for 384 users.

There are going to be a whole number of reasons, but the main one is probably to do with the preload and that it was likely setup to only include the same content on the disc, since it needs to be setup in advance of release, and your download of it is almost certainly encrypted, meaning it is impossible to patch the preload directly.
 
i seem to be havin an issue my download is saying 100% but its still going and the current size its download is 12.5/11.4 whats up with that?
 
I don't know if mine continued as well while it was on 100%, but I ended up downloading 15.4Gigs of 15.4Gigs :confused:

and the only thing downloading was BF3.

I ended up downloading 5gb and it tells me error relogin and i do and bam 0% so F it with this BS gonna let it fly at full speed and just get done :D.
 
managed to pause mine 3 or 4 times I think :D

maybe it just likes me :p

/few minutes later... Origin crashes and deletes all installed games.

/SON OF A B*** ORIGIN!!!

ay , cant wait to open the dvd case , smell the new stuff smell , pop in the dvd, while installing read the manual and chow some chips , frame the dvd case after installation. i cant afford 15GB of downloading . axxesslite unshaped ftw :whistle:
