Battlefield 3

so you haven't played killa? have you downloaded it? (assuming not)

no the maps are by far not the stuff from BETA. (well unless you obviously play the actual map and gamemode from BETA) :D

played a few rounds last night and they were big, unfortunately I never got to ones like Firestorm which is said to be the biggest map.

also the 4 maps from BF2 are not open yet as I haven't seen any of our servers running them.

Oh god... nothing like spawning late at the beginning of the game to find there are no vehicles left.. you either hang around for a minute or two or start the 5km sprint :D

There are a few maps that are bigger than Caspian, and theres one map that is so big you can fit 4 Atacama Deserts into it!!!

'Released to PreOrder' is what all preorders say, iirc.

But this does make me a bit worried, after they had issues with SOTC/ICO HD for PS3. "We'll have it Monday, sorry." Heard nothing by Tuesday, and so cancelled and even got it cheaper from Kalahari.

edit: hmm, well Kalahari has listed it as Out of Stock.

Last edit: I think I see what is going on. The Limited Edition is sold out, and now they are selling the normal boxed version, but for some reason they didn't put up the new links before they stopped sales on the limited edition (at least I just suddenly got links that I didn't have earlier).

I will play when only on sat i think, too much work and too many deadlines to meet this week to even consider playing sadly.
 
Will i be able to run the game with settings on high with the following specs:

i7 950
G-skill 6gb ddr3
radeon 6870
 
I just watched that guy on the gadjet show play battlefield 3 in a dome screen tent and a circular treadmill he walks around the game, with paontball guns rigged up to shyoot him when he gets hit, it might be on youtube?
 
it looked epic the 1st time I saw it, then the 100 times afterwards posted by every1, not so much...
 
I think why I wouldn't like it is because, it will make me do way too much exercise :D

can you imagine Operation Firestorm on foot on that thing?? :p
 
I was expecting the servers to be busier, I must have underestimated the amount of people who want to hold a disk. So far it is awesome and way more open than I expected, Metro in conquest mode is a cluster**** to many choke points and once a team digs in you are pretty much screwed.

Dude not many people know about the fix to play early hey. Wait for origin to launch the game officially.
 
It says BF3 is available on their website, I see people on South African servers, but I cant launch my game till the 28th? lol, and it seems from the bf3 forums every one has it unlocked except a few of us here :P

Yup i will play when it launches like a good little boy :D. Granted that is forced and not my choice hahah.
 
I wouldn't mind if they did an account reset to all those that early accessed.

it will suck for people that get the retail to go and play against lvl 20's already.

ie guys that do their jet unlocks are going to own the sky because their features go beyond just the plain machine gun on the jet.
