All I'm really saying is don't base your experience on K/D ratio :) I started with everyone else and am only JUST over a 1:1, but still have an awesome time playing.

I personally dont bother even looking at K/D ratios. Once this get too important for me I dont enjoy the game as much because each time I get killed I would swear a lot and get obsessed not to get killed and the more obsessed I get the worse I play. If this makes sense at all.... :)
 
I don't know if it just my system. I run @ 1920x1080 on my Samsung series 6 LCD TV When i play BFBC2 the in vehicle huds and sniper zoom are crisp & clear. On BF3 the lines seem so much thicker, not as sharp.

Not your system. I think it's the quality of the scope you have. The higher you level up and get rewards the better they become.
 
Fk me gently...

Only realized now my favorite gun is available from level1 the M4. I need to have a decent look at the deploy screen tonight. Last night I just wanted to play and didn't bother too much with the weapon selection, gear and so on. Tonight will be a different story :p
 
what is everyone's load times like on there systems. When map loads for first time, seems to take forever.

Waiting times you mean, the load time for me is almost instant. It's the 30 second wait and then the other 30 seconds but it's cool.

Time for a piss, something to drink etc. Better than needing diapers because you don't wanna miss the action :p.

It's actually not that long (would say about 30sec the first time the map is loaded), although that seriously feels like forever. The first time it loaded I thought my PC froze. But I suppose system specs differ, so will loading times.

I experinece slow loading times when launching from Battlelog into a map.

Back when I was new to FPS MMO's I played BF2. I got raped so badly starting that even after I got better and got more positive kills vs deaths I could never get to 1.0 rating. Eish bud.... If we play together I'll be a human shield for you k? :) I'm not sure whether this is counted as heresy, but the only other FPS I really played online was COD: BO. I started of incredibly, shockingly, super epicly bad. I eventually clawed my way back. But I hear what you say, and as I have found here, it's a LOT more difficult making epic comebacks in BF than COD.

Haha, but thats why the comebacks in BF are so EPIC.

Too true... I'm struggling already. When I started last Friday, I was too taken aback with the brilliant graphics and sound, which resulted in, let's just say, less than desirable stats. That, and to "prepare" for BF3, I played BF2 for two weeks. The first time you try to superman-dolphin-fly-dive, you will get shot so many times you will die twice. I suppose BFBC2 would have been a better bet to practise. Also, I thought that everyone is new, so I can't be in that much of a disadvantage - needless to say that a "this is SPARTA" approach fails... terribly...

I struggle with consistency.... One map I'll do everything right. The next I must appear to be some kind of super noob.

Do you guys/gals(<-- just to be safe) have favourite maps? I seem to enjoy Tehran Highway, Metro and 2 others I can't remember the names of :D

Had a few rounds this weekend where it looks like your team will lose, and then the entire team gets a 2nd wind and makes an epic comeback to win it!

Must admit though, on Team Deathmatch hardcore, doing the SPARTA thing with a silenced weapon is pure gold! It works exceptionally well.
