Battlefield 3

I just started playing BF for the first time tonight. I get a punkbuster error - no data flow. I can't find a solution by Googling. Any one got any ideas?

Maybe check your firewall isn't blocking punkbuster, and make sure punkbuster is up to date

It's so fun hey... this one time a viper was hovering over an objective trying to claim it and I shot him and his gunner with a single shot.. then stole their chopper. Wish BF recorded all your games.

Nice one :)

This game is really getting addictive and I am getting better at it. But man some games I really struggle.

Question on aiming in close quarters. I often get pwned when coming around a corner and seeing some one. I try start off on the upper chest and let off bursts but damn, some ppl are accurate and just seem to let off a single burst and I am dead. Should I rather aim higher?

Hipfire... Don't bother trying to ADS. Spam the grunt and you should get the kill 9 times out of 10.

I also struggle some maps, but it seems it only happens when I play with dooby. When I play alone or with some other clan mates I seem to hold my own... :D

This also always happened to me, but since I started using guns with a high rate of fire it got much better. Try the MP7 - great gun.
 
AS VAL is very good at close range as well and those bullets hurt, cant wait for the patch to give it an increased clip

it depends on the weapons ROF too, if you are rounding a corner and you and the enemy see each other at the same time the one with the famas will win, this is why you should adjust your playstyle/routes according to your weapon.
 
My Battlefield experience.

Pirate game (points for honesty?) because I don't play multiplayer online. Single player runs great. Fall for the game and want more. Happily buy game.

Installing the legit version takes about 2 hours.

Game works and aside from being dropped out occasionally I'm really enjoying it.

Game is patched. Now I can only run the game after a fresh reboot and game now frequently dies on map changes.

Game is patched again. Now it can't connect at all.

Game is patched again. Connections work but when I'm in game it crashes immediately. I try single player campaign and I get the same crash after a few seconds of gaming.

I haven't been able to play the game since around the start of December.

As someone who buys games he knows he'll love and considers testing others via pirating, this experience has certainly not pushed me in a more positive direction. Absolutely ridiculous.

hmm maybe update graphics drivers and windows to service pack 1, then reinstall the game from scratch

Mine works fine, so do most peoples, maybe your just doing it wrong?
