I've had a blackberry 9300 on contract now for almost 2 years. After the first year, the trackpad stopped working and I took it to my cell provider and got a new phone under the warranty. I seem to remember that the silver ring around the trackpad wore and chipped away so there was no silver left and then the trackpad stopped working - although I might just be imagining this.
Now after a year from getting my replacement the silver ring is chipping and wearing away! I am worried that the trackpad might stop working again, because I was hoping to go onto prepaid after my contract is up and wait and see what phones get launched next year (and maybe switch providers
)
Does the wearing away of the silver ring around the trackpad lead up to the trackpad breaking?
