BB Curve 9300 vs BB Bold 9700

Which is the better option at the end of the day and is it worth the ZAR 50.00 cost diffrence.

MTN AnyTime 200 :

BB 9300 = R 279 : 2.0 MP Camera
BB 9700 = R 329 : 3.2 MP Camera

check out THIS comparison.

The Bold is constructed from better materials, has a better screen, and better keyboard.

The Curve has B/G/N WiFi, dedicated music keys

It comes down to choice really, but I would go with the Bold.

I had to use a Curve for a while, after using a Bold - The screen on the curve is almost unbearable, IMO. Worst BB screen I've ever worked with, in context of how phone displays have developed over the years, and I have used Blackberry since the 7290's.
Still using a Bold 9000 atm, primarily for the keyboard and screen. Even with its trackball and lack of memory it is still far more of a pleasure to use.

Same here - Just gone back from the 8520 to my 9000 Bold - in the end:

-the screen on the bold is way way better
-the keys are moulded to ensure you press the right one on the bold and in the end you will type faster on the bold
-generall a more solid phone

As mentioned - screen is a big thing ...

The screen on the Bold 9700 has 480x360 pixels resolution, the Curve 9300 has 320x240. The build quality on the 9300 is better than the 8520 which for all intents and purposes is an entry-level phone, but the Bold is just a class by itself. I'd say the Bold is worth the extra money.

And what about the torch 9800 ? Vodacom giving it free from talk 120 upwards.
I'm using a 8520 and its over a year now so I ordered a 9300 cos its 3G, 9700 too pricey now cos upgrade is a year away. Besides, not comfortable with 9700 keys.

Thanks Guys for the updates.
The big question now however. What is the cash price for BB 9300 and BB 9700.
This will determine the cost exercise. Thanks.
