BB 9700 Help

Hiya all,

My Blackberry Bold 9700 suddenly stopped its ringtones, alerts ect, sounds like speaker is busted.

Any one have the same problem, phone was not dropped, bumped or placed in a beer. Tried a reboot, removed battery, checked my profile settings, stll nothing

Any advice?

Have you tried to re install the OS ?

Yeh this happened to me as well. Had to send it in for repairs. Got a brand new one out of it though.

Did you play with the profile settings.

@The_Pumpking_King....................not on mute.
Tried re-installing firmware.........nothing re-installed OS
Now gonna throw it against the wall, maybe that will help

Before you destroy your phone just give it in at a repair centre, they'll give you a bright shiny new one in a few weeks.

Dumb question... What is the purpose of the mute button/standby mode? I've got my 9700 for about 4months now and just realised that I have not used this button even once. It seems to be like a keylock feature, well I use my dedicated keylock button for that.

Got another icon I cnt seem to get rid of. But this time I know what caused it, I think. I was on fb when I lost internet connectivity, not knowing I had lost my connection I clicked on something and a box popped up saying something like my request could not be completed. It gave me a 'save request' option which I clicked to see how it works. Would it automatically open once my internet signal was back? Would it beep and ask if I'd like to open my browser and complete my request? But when my signal came back nothing happend! I opened fb clicked on the same thing I clicked ealier but I still have this icon on my homescreen. Its a browser icon yellow/gold in colour with a 1 next to it. How do I get rid off it?
