With RIM it's all speculation at present. Nobody seems to know what's going on with them. I was hoping the 9900 would come in July as initially indicated by RIM but we seem to be looking at Sept now (and who knows how long after that in SA). Personally, and I hate saying this, I've just about given up on BlackBerry. The 9900 will come out with OS 7 and we are already told that that will be last of that OS, to be replace by QNX on new devices after the 9900. Why would I invest in a dead OS? Nokia with its Symbian on smart phones all over again.
According to rumours on blogs, the launch will be in September. And if or when and they will have to discount it as RIM is losing credibility, fast!
They are in survival mode, and can't set prices anymore. Their market capitalisation has gone from $80billion to $14.7billion in three years!
