BB: Authenticate Email account

Assistance required. I have authenticated my BIS email accounts on numerous occasions in the past. No problem.

But received another similar request today. Executed it and the BB informed it required updated software to do so. Started downloading software but terminated prematurely (not by me, by BB) due to poor signal quality (I am in Entebbe Uganda).

Cannot access ""Email Accounts" anymore.

Did remove battery and restarted. No success.

What now?

Used to have that problem a lot when i was with web africa, its got nothing to do with the phone, its our countires poor internet connection.
The RIM server in EU checks every 20 min, iff after repeated attempts it cannot access the server it consideres it a failure and stopps checking until you re-authenticate the account.

Best solution would be to move to an international mail host, i switched everything to gmail and it has the added advantage of being push so instead of waiting to be checked it just forces the mail to the handset instead so you get your mails instantly instead of every 20min.
