BB BIS

Just got my new BB8900 on Vodacom. How do you activate the BIS? I didn't setup the phone when I got it so basically from what I hear, my bro just activated my line. Do I need to install the software to get BIS installed or what? I just get the BES option when I go to setup email. And yes, I did signup for the BIS option so I thought the network would automatically pick it up.

No, only got grps. No edge/EDGE. I tried calling Vodacom, but no luck as they don't know what they are talking about.
