BB Bold 9000 - speaker fix:

Tried this and it fixed my speaker issue. My issue was that when on speaker phone the volume was very low unless I squeezed the phone at the top near Blackberry logo.

What happen?
the phone is compressed too much (e.g sit on, use of case, etc) therefore closed the speaker room that is located below the flash (see image)

Whay you do?
Use your nail to re-lift up the flash unit (see image). you probably only need to lift it about 1mm or less.

I used the tip of a pen knife to lift the flash unit about 0.5mm. I noticed that once done the loud speaker only works when the unit is close (back cover replaced). Not sure why but it does work as long as cover is on.

Tip: Dial 1026 and let is tell you the time over and over while you do this so you can hear if it's worked or not.
