Hey guys dunno if this has been asked before, I have been reading up on some info on the BB conect app u get for windows mobile phones. I am on a vodacom prepaid sim. Will this service work on my phone if i subscribe to the BB prepaid option from Voda ? Cause it seems like the apps is working on my phone. Just want to make sure before i go ahead and purchase this service.

Thx in advance :D

As fart as my knowledge, blackberry connect only works on bes and not bis. Om vodacom prepaid blackberry on bis is available.

Yes the software will install and work. But wont be able to connect to blackberry network via vodacom prepaid as it is bis.

so in other wordds it is pointless trying to connect then cause all i want to use it for is mainly browse news facebook etc on the fone and recieve emails

Emails would be the only thing working on blackberry connect. I am not to sure if blackberry.apn will work for browsing, news and facebook.

Your best bet is to sell the windows phone and get blackberry phone. You will never regret it. I was windows mobile user and changed to blackberry and will never go back.

thx w1twolf i am looking at some bb's now i just dont want something on a conrtact as I dont like owing someone something. This clarify's allot for me thx agian buddy

Pleasure !

PS: if i was wrong about few things here, i do apologize upfront :) All was answered as far as my knowledge is.

Using Blackberry Connect on a supported device will ONLY allow your device to use the email functionality and NOT the web browsing ability.

If your device is supported then you can use pre-paid BIS offered by Vodacom at this point in time.
