BB Data vs Other Data

Not sure if this belongs in the Blackberry forum or not.

Not happy with the Cell C Blackberry speed.

On my handset I will surf using BIS and it is PAINFULLY slow. I had always assumed this was just because of a poor signal. BUT, if I take my phone and then turn on the mobile wifi hotspot, it is a different story altogether.

I am then using non-BB data and I have the exact same reception, but the data is extremely fast.

WHY!

What can I do about this? As far as I'm concerned if my BB has a fair usage of 2gig per month, I should be able to use that at the same speed as if I paid R200 for 2gig data.

I called cell C's technical helpline but they were *beyond useless*

Cell C lost the plot OP...My brother has endless data issues on his BIS Cell C. My MTN BIS works flawlessly, try them if you're on prepaid.

My wife's Cell C BIS works just fine.....

Get proper internet.

I can vouch for that,I had it until a few months back when i changed to a z10 as my second phone,telkom mobile bis was a pleasure to use.
