Anyone use the Facebook application and upgraded to the latest version?

Seems I don't get notifications anymore :/
 
Saw it, didnt use it yet...
Waiting on a Browser upgrade...
 
Received the notification, upgraded, opened it, didn't notice a difference... I'll fiddle a bit later when I have time.

I'm also using FB for Windows Mobile and except for it being a bit slower it has more functionality IMO.

* Improved News Feed, loading and scrolling
* Better performing Friend List
* Enhanced Photo Viewing, loading and navigation
* Improved Photo uploading
 
I'm sure its better all round - but I need notifications. I get zero notifications ...

Don't do it, JK! Don't upgrade!
 
It works like normal for me. Check in the settings. I think it needs to have the email notifications on.
 
Tried the settings - everything is on :/

If you Google, you'll see many, many others are complaining about notifications as well.
 
I'm also not getting notifcations anymore. Any solution to this?
 
can u roll back to the previous version 1.7 until they get a fix for the notifications?
 
Solution:

Check that you have the latest version

Log out of facebook within the app. Wait a couple of minutes and log back in. Test your notifications (tell someone to send you a msg or something). It should work now. If it does not work the first time, Do it again!

Do this every time you update the app jus for the hell of it.

Good luck mate

Oh and make sure you not logged in on your BB browser before you try this 'fix'

Just upgraded & it worked perfectly. Not impressed with the fact that we still cannot chat via the app. My notifications worked from the word go.

I was hoping for more enhancements but will hold out for the next version.
 
I never received notifications on the old version. But minutes after upgrading I received my first notification, EVER!
 
Yeah, I did the log in and log out thing and it's working well for me now too. Thanks.
