A friend accidently selected BES instead of BIS when trying to setup his email( brand new phone) , how do i get rid of the BES activation and change it to BIS on the 9800 when trying to setup email.

No email or activation password was entered. The phone is brand new . NO IT POLICY has been used

Hi there. I stand corrected, but the phone wont allow you to set up a BES account unless you have BES activated on your line. How were you trying to do the setup? Using the setup wiz on the phone or via your networks Blackberry portal?

The phones X2 were bought in Dubai , brand new , unused , Tmobile branded , unlocked , in email setup on phone , enterprise settings only , when connecting to Desktop Manager , once again BES settings for email, when creating an account on http://www.mobileemail.vodafonesa.co.za/ , no BIS account / account suspended , according to Vodacom BIS is activated

I am not sure if this will work...but perhaps delete your service books and reboot the phone to see if Vodacom pushes the BIS service book instead of the BES one?

i tried both methods , i think this phone is locked to T Mobile on their BES server , thats why no option to setup BIS on the phone , i have removed service books ( only 7 entries) rebooted , what i have also noted , under rooting tables , nothing appears , even after sending routing tables

Have you tried loading Vodafone OS on it?
