Hi

i can get a bb torch for around 2500

guy says has about 18 months left on warantee

is this a nice phone and is that a good price

and is there a way to format the phone and receive new bb pin
 
Good price - my GF paid R3500 for one a few months ago...

And promptly dropped it - cost R850 to replace touchscreen and housing...

U can format the phone, but AFAIK the BB pin is static... So all his old buddies can PIN you up anytime of the day...

Also just check around the battery life on the torch is supposedly crap so if that will be an issue for you maybe look at the curve etc

Yes you can format the phone but the pin stays with the phone

yeah then i think bold or curve will be better, and when you get it turn your screen brightness down to say 60-70%, makes a huge difference
 
The battery life on the Torch is not crap... just make sure you don't have any apps running that are faulty that could cause battery drain...

my Torch lasts me 2 days with full use!!!

Please explain or give examples of the kind of apps you referring to. Any tips on extending battery life on my torch will be appreciated.

Impressive, most of my friends last half a day or else from morning to night max

What is full use? I currently have the bold and the battery makes it to 3pm. Then again I do call a lot...

i havent had issues with mine but a few friends of mine had issues after doing updates and some had to wipe it to get it working etc
 
9780 bold for also 2500

14 month warantee left

good phone for that price or should i hold on for a torch

thinkng the torch flexi will get damaged more over time
