I'm on a BB100 right now and see on the Vodacom portal :

Next Upgrade Date : 15 August 2012
Contract Expiry : 14 November 2012

If I'd like downgrade to a Talk75S package next and I walk into a Vodashop on the 15 August 2012 to sign - does that mean my Talk75S (and lower price) is effective from 1 September 2012?Or if I sign 15 August 2012, the new lower package will only kick in 1 December 2012?

If I choose to cancel - should I give them notice on the 15 August 2012 and then it terminates 14 November 2012?

Migrations happen at the end of the month to be effective beginning of the next month.

So....if you sign a migration quote today and we process it today...it will be effective tomorrow...or tonight round about 00:00. If you sign it tomorrow and we process it tomorrow...it will be effective 1st March 2012.

When you request to change your package while doing your upgrade we incorporate that into your upgrade quote. You then sign for the deal on the new package. We process it and it is effective beginning of the next month.

Thanks!

So in my case, it'll be 1 September.

Was wondering because I initial sign 24 months of a BB100 - and come the 22nd month I'm migrating, so wondered how that'd work :)

As long as the store incorporates the migration into the upgrade then there should be no problem. Just know that if took a financed deal with your previous upgrade that will run for the full 24 months untill it is paid up.
