BB9810 or SGS2 - WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE

Hi All,

I am unsure between the BB9810 or SGS2 which device to choose. As I am due for an upgrade on my Vodacom Contract.
I need my emails with attachments, web browsing and IM - whatsapp or BBM & facebook. I suppose it comes down to pricing which would be cheaper?

I am using the iPhone 3GS presently & looking for something different - Android or RIM. I have many friends & relatives with BBs so I have an idea of what BB offers- having set up a few

However, I have not seen many people in SA with the SGS2. The SGS2 phone is rated as the best or super smartphone. However,
with the pricing structure, mainly data bundles will it be viable. I noticed Vodacom is giving their clients an free additional
bundles, depending on what you have. I have 250MB per month now I will get 500MB per month-will it be sufficient using the SGS2?

Any recommedations/suggestions..Please...please

Have you got WiFi access at home and/or work.

Android phones as like iPhones looove data and can suck your bank account dry if you let them.

I have seen plenty of people posting on the SGS2 so I do think there is a lot of people in SA with them, the fact that its one of the top phones will just say that you will normally find it in the high income group of people. A group that lack in numbers if you compare it to 1st world countries.

If I didnt have a DHD (6 months old) the SGS2 would have been my next purchase.

Yes I do have WiFi at home. I am using my iPhone 3GS with 250MB & have about 70 apps. I do reply & receive e-mails with attachments & surf the webfor infos. I have rarely used more data than the 250MB. If the SGS2 uses data the same way as the iPhone than I dont envisage a problem. Or does it use more data?

If you use the Android exactly as the iPhone, no it will use the same amount. Problem is that Android have the ability to run widgets (Always on applications) that can poll. If you dont use the ones that need internet then you are fine as well.

I originally bought my 1st Android just after my iPhone 3GS as well, and I never looked back. Thing is I bought it when I was living in a country with cheap data, so even when I used a iPhone I relied more on data than anything else. My best option when I came back to SA was to get a 5 gig prepaid from Cell C and let the phone use whatever if wants, topping up with Air time if I wanted to phone. With Skype and Viber, whatsapp and other services I dont use Voice as much as Data so it was a easy option for me.

Seriously though, have you used BB OS and Android?

Isn't it appealing that you could just plug in your iPhone 4 and iTunes would sync everything you currently have?
