The BBC is to close down half its website, cut spending on imported American programmes and close two radio stations in an admission it has become too large, a newspaper reported Friday.

The BBC website is a fantastic (and balanced) resource IMO, and covers just about every conceivable hard news topic. But, it has become fantastically large, and I can see plenty of justification for trimming it down a bit.
 
Good. The less the better. Poor Brits are forced to subsidize this lot
 
As long as they still produce shows like Top Gear and various nature shows that Attenborough is involved with I have no problem with these cutbacks.
