Nope, but I hardly use it. It just sits there in top bar. Maybe 2 measages a day on it.
It doesn't drain my battery by having it installed.

Can you remove it from showing in the status bar? I hate it when apps show up there, that area is for my notifications not my task viewer.

Yes, but it then warns you that messages might be delayed if memory usage is high

The HTC Cha Cha uses Android 2.3.5, so it can't use BBM. You need at least Android 4.0 to run it.

I'll be honest- since downloading BBM, I have barely ventured onto WhatsApp.

Have to be honest I dont see the value of BBM over Whatsapp. Whatsapp seems easier to use.

on my xperia go I have no issues with battery life but then again I have stamina mode on. the ui sucks though

BBM on Android/Apple is really awesome if you actually know people with BB's. The few you do know with BB's ironically also have WhatsApp..
