Hi
I would like some information. I am starting to study B accounting sciences through Unisa for the 2015 year.
I'd like more general info? also if you get this degree only and do SAIPA articles as oppose to doing CTA and SAICA articles can you still get a decent job? whats will the pay be like?

Hey buddy,

Head on over to the introduction sub-forum and introduce yourself.

This topic has been discussed a few times on this forum, just do a search. (I know, also starting with Bcom Accounting sciences through Unisa, next year)

Hi,im sorry im new here.can you please post the link to the forum you mentioned.thank you

Good day bro, my name is moroni from p.e..

I really need your help concerning my studies.. I am currently studying Bcom Accounting with UNISA ( first year ) and everyone tells me that I should study full time because the Big 4 consider full time students only.. Is it possible to transfer from UNISA to NMMU? Will I be credited on the modules I've completed already?

Hey
I've been trying to find out whether the big 4 take students from unisa depending on their marks as well. Where did you hear that they don't consider unisa students and only full time students?

Yes they do, but they're not exactly 1st choice so it'll help your cause if you have the correct level of tan.

The concern is primarily academic not fulltime vs parttime. There is no polite way to say this so - come board exam time the unisa guys have to compete with the people from UCT etc & the outcome is [-]a bloodbath[/-] not pretty. The recruiters at the big 4 are well aware of this situation so barring tan consideration they will hire from other unis first.

Thats not to say you should abandon your current route...honestly...anything that gets you to a CTA will do. If its a UNISA CTA then the board exams will be a higher hurdle but worry about that when you get there.

Hi does anyone know of someone at UNISA - who can assist me with obtaining Credits for modules previously studied? this is for an accounting degree.

Your best bet is to visit a campus and talk to an adviser.

i did go to the UNISA dbn office yesterday the queue ws terrible waited from 8am to 15:30 they couldn't assist and said they were closing at four.
