Jojono?
Different ISP's provide different packages.
ADSL ISP's either sell bandwidth that expires at month-end, or they sell you bandwidth at about R10 more per GB that never expires / expires after 12 months.

That's the point im trying to bring to light. Each ISP have their own terms etc. It might not be loved by all or very fair, (T&C's never was made to benefit the consumer hence the reason to take a minute or two and read them) but all ISP's have them so should be kept in mind for your own sake. :)

If I have paid for the data, why should Vodacom take it away from me at the end of the month?

It should be available forever, or till I have used it up. Its like saying that if I dont drink my can of Coke within a day, Pick&Pay can come to my home and ask for it back.

I paid for it, remember? Vodacom behaves just like Telkom, stealing from the SA consumer.

Read the above, you're saying other ISP's are the same as Telkom with that statement because not only Vodacom does that. :erm:

So it's not only me that finds the expiry of data bundles unjust and unfair?

If you remember, Captain Justice was resting at the bottom of the ocean since the end of world war 2, so this forum thing kind of new to him.....or was that another captain?

Apartheid victims are still being compensated for atrocities committed 50 years ago. Injustice has no expiry date!

Look, I like your active participation and the knowledge you have to assist with the CPA vs networks, but I have to agree with other members and their comments about you resurrecting old threads. Those are long gone and some of the issues were sorted out by some of the networks in favour of the consumers. Let's concentrate on current issues.

My take with the reading of those earlier posts is that those issues are the same frustrations I and thousands of other users are still experiencing today. This tells me in the past 5 years this issue hasn't been resolved with the MNO's and was allowed to die a quite death. If you and me and the thousands of others are going to sit with folded arms, the elephant will still be in the room in 5 years time. Nowhere on the threads are mention made and users educated of the remedies available under CPA and I only used the older posts to prove to some other hotheads in this forum that I'm not the only one aghast at this practice of bundle expiry.

I'm sorry if I've unwittingly broken some rules, but I always try to break out from my comfort zone and rattle some cages. Only sheep follow the pack without question.

There is no evidence that the issues were resolved - the users do not always come back and post their success stories. We all know there have been issues since day one - you really do not have to prove anything to anyone here on the forum as far as ancient threads are concerned. I can assure you I do not sit with folded arms and those on here who post their problems with the intention to seek help and thereby "unfold" theirs. Again, let's concentrate efforts on the current issues at hand.

Ok, but I can assure you the issue raised on this thread 5 years ago is still current as we're all aware of the current unfair practice of unused data bundles you paid for, expiring after 30 days. We feel it in our pocket and we see it on our screens how data is "misappropriated".
