Not sure if you're familiar with the show "Bored to Death", but is it legal to offer services as a unqualified private investigator in SA?

Also, to become a PI, do you need to join the SAPS first and start off as a regular policeman first?

If you have any cases that need investigation, feel free to contact me. I also have a dog that can assist me.

I saw a Detective Academy in Pretoria but not sure of the requirements. Seen anything similar in CT?

also always wanted to do it, there are local courses on sites from colleges, you just have to google it and they teach you everything, then give you what you need to start your own business legally. i also wanted to do it as it's an obsession i have, just don't have the money for it right now
 
PM noregard and ask him to teach you how to go on an awesome [-]acid[/-] astral trip. Then you can spy on people without them ever knowing. You don't even need any equipment!

Edit: As an added bonus, you get to see pretty unicorns frolic in the fields among the rainbows. Or something.
