Becoming PHP Certified Developer

Hey guys,

I would like to know if there is a site local or international where i can get PHP Certified... I need to do it part time as i am currently running my own business during the day.

Any suggestions are welcome

you don't need to get certified in a open source scripting language. you just need to rock some killer code and show it to potential employers. seeing as you have your own business, all you need is some spare time, and google.

A word of advice: develop your front-end skills (i.e. javascript / flash / html ) as much as your backend (php, mysql, apache) skills for a winning combination.

Pretty easy if you've been working with PHP for a while. You can self study and write the exam at an affiliated exam centres around the country. Costs about R900 if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I did my ZCE and the study guide is OK at best. I think you will do fine in this exam if you work with OOPHP on a daily basis. The only thing that I found tricky was streams and sockets, this is because I do not often has exposure to them in my day to day workings.
