Beer & Ciprofloxian!

Nope, fools! Ciprofloxian ain't a long lost drinking pal of mine from the Continent.

The Moose is on some anti biotic medications for an infection or other, to his horror he realised,that he might not be able to consume beer this weekend.

On Sunday, Eskom will be shutting down our energy source forma solid 12 hours. So I was planning a coolbox stuffed with beer and ice next to my portypool to waste away the hours....only to realise that the medication might prevent the festivities from occuring...

Has anyone out there in thebig bad city ever drank beer whilst on Ciprofloxian and what happened?

Alcohol can interact with certain medicines.
In the case of Ciprofloxacin:
there are no known interactions between alcohol and Ciprofloxacin

He advised caution and moderation and not necessarily abstinence.

Naw! My Doc is a legend, a charcter of note.... The awesome Doctor Doppies, I meant to ask him before I left his office,but he was in a rush to get out the building for his smoke break....

Thanks MickeyD, I think I shall be rolling with this reply, I was going to buy 12 more Heinekens to go with the 17x440ml Whk Draughts that I have in my fridge for Sunday, but you are right .... Moderation.....
