Beginner Camera for Holiday snaps

I'd love an S95, just a little out of my budget at the moment, so may settle for the SX220. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Got my camera today, very happy... wish I had thought to buy an SD card. Suppose now I'll have to pay regular mall prices.
