Hi All

Just want to find out if anyone has seen better pricing for the Nikon D3200? Locally....

http://www.makro.co.za/p/18228/nikon-twin-lens-camera-bundle/

I can say it, I am a noob and this is my first "camera"...
Budget I had was around 9k.
Will be using it on travels for scenery, portraits etc.

Most reviews I read said that it was the better one between Nikon and Canon in that price bracket.

Help would be appreciated.....

I can't seem to load a camera on that link. The D3200 body will more than suit your needs. However I would be careful of two things:

Nikon South Africa has started selling the much cheaper 18-55mm lens WITHOUT VR with a lot of their deals to make the deals sound better. The kit lenses are slow as it is. If you forget VR off on the 18 to 55 VR the pictures are lacking in sharpness.

Another thing I would recommend is that the 55 to 300 4.5 to 5.6 is much much better than the 55 to 200 sold in the kits.

Another recommendation. Get a 35mm fixed 1.8.. its a really enjoyable lens to use.

Don't opt for the cheapest stuff. A camera is a 10 year item so don't go for the cheapest stuff. You can always upgrade the body but the lenses you will keep for a long time.
