I have a very basic knowledge of HTML, and just want to design a simple company web page.

Which WYSIWIG software do you suggest I should use to just create some basic pages?

I will upload them with an FTP program to my web host.

I don't want to use FrontPage and all the crap that comes with it.

Hey bro!

If I use that weebly service do I have to host it on their servers?

cos I just got burned with BlueVoda... lovely software... but I created this entire page only to find out, that the only way to publish it was onto their servers. It saves your web page in a proprietary format so that you can't export it. :(

I had to click "preview in web browser" and save all my work from there to get the html file. :)

No you don't have to host it with them, it's optional, you can download the complete site in a zip file.

Ok, you complete the site (make sure it renders properly in IE as well, some templates don't) when it's finished at the editing options cick Settings and download zip archive, then you just upload that zip and extract it at your webhost :p

I used Nvu. It was more than sufficient for my needs. Though I didn't have any dynamic content on my website
