Being Human - US or UK version

I started watching the US version of Being Human, but got told it's a total rip of the Uk version, and that the latter is way better.

Any informed opinions?

I prefer the US version. But I started watching it, and then tried the UK version, I found it poor in comparison.

US version is much better. I found that the acting in the UK version was poor (it's like watching the US version of The Office vs. the UK one)
