Being pestered to upgrade

This lot are relentless.
Without fail I get about 3 calls a week - sometimes twice in one day telling me I qualify for a further upgrade.

This has been going on for months & it seems multiple call centres and endless various calling numbers are used.

I've submitted complaints & told MTN on multiple occasions I'm not interested.
I have 3 different reference numbers related to my request. I call them and ask about "progress" on my complaint, and am constantly promised the complaint will be escalated.

Needless to say, the upgrade calls never end.

Not everybody's cup of tea but on prepaid you will be free from those upgrade calls.

Fair enough, but the moment they sniff unemployment, they will flag that on their systems and then use it against you, even if untrue.

You don't need a contract to get a new phone or upgrade. In fact, a contract is the last thing you need. Rather get insurance.

Same here, Vodacom and Telkom keep on phoning me about upgrades on my lines... I told them countless times I am not interested in upgrading any lines...they do not seem to listen. 3 to 4 times per week they call. I have multiple Vodacom and Telkom blocked numbers on Truecaller. They seem to sniff out a new number everytime.
