Bell Pottinger

All good and all but what stops the Zuptas just to go to another PR firm and continue the Shyte.

We need to cut off the snakes head not the tail.

I think most PR firms will now be overly cautious about being given work by the Guptas.

Sincerely hoping that Guptas are now persona non grata at most firms.

Most probably that Victoria woman and the rest that were "fired" will most probably now work freelance for the guptas.

Since they are based in the UK, I wonder if someone could lay some kind of criminal charge against them? Or at least report them to some authority/oversight board?

Sounds like just the sort of **** a PR company would say when caught red-****ing-handed.

*edit*

Bunch of ****es.

Yes. THIS

This is a big account, people higher up would have known or at least made sure that they didn't know on purpose.
I hope the entire organisation fails because of this.

The world needs to know that this kind of thing is going to backfire hard.

The organisation will fail, but the people involved will move onto other jobs where they will do the same kind of stuff.

So we have a sitting presidents son, actively on a marketing campaign to stoke the racial tension in this country sabotaging our democracy, and this is ok?

Already done: https://www.marklives.com/2017/07/editorial-a-quick-resource-for-prca-bell-pottinger-investigation/

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), a UK-based PR and communications membership body, has confirmed that it will be investigating PR firm Bell Pottinger’s work for Gupta-owned company, Oakbay Investments, which also allegedly involved a wide spectrum of individuals and organisations broadly aligned with South African president Jacob Zuma’s alleged (a very well-documented allegation) state capture project. Bell Pottinger is a member of the PRCA.

“We can confirm that we have received a complaint against Bell Pottinger, filed by Democratic Alliance (the South African political party),” states Francis Ingham MPRCA, director general, PRCA. “Bell Pottinger has been notified of this. We will now begin the formal process set out in the PRCA Professional Charter and Code of Conduct to investigate this alleged complaint.”

Sounds like a typical corporate cover-up. Find some scapegoats, pretend that senior management were completely oblivious to what was going on and quite probably destroy any documentation proving otherwise.

Not to say the scapegoats are blameless (unless cof ourse they're actually being framed).

The organisation will fail, but the people involved will move onto other jobs where they will do the same kind of stuff.
I suppose not if people keep track of them and go after any company that hires them or anyone who uses any PR company they work for or run.

As said before, this is a company that deals in spin - and their "apology" reeks of scapegoats and backpedaling. They knew what they were doing from the start..but they were not counting on being exposed and the released emails. May they crash and burn.

The agency's co-founder Lord Timothy Bell has reportedly said he had warned the agency to not work with Oakbay.

CAPE TOWN - Bell Pottinger's CEO has denied claims that he was warned about working with the Gupta-owned Oakbay company before taking on the account.

The agency's co-founder Lord Timothy Bell has reportedly said he had warned the agency to not work with Oakbay.

Lord Bell left the agency last year following health issues, but he reportedly claims the Oakbay account also played a role.

Bell Pottinger has been slated by the South African public for allegedly stirring racial tensions in some of its campaigns for the Gupta family, something it has since apologised for.

Lord Bell has told online publication PR Week that he was part of the Bell Pottinger party who initially met with Oakbay representatives, including the Gupta family.

According to him, he reportedly warned the CEO, James Henderson, and other colleagues to not take on the brief, saying the account was “smelly”.

Lord Bell further rubbished the statement put out by Bell Pottinger which claims management had been misled about the work done for Oakbay.

Henderson has now fired back, refuting the claims to Eyewitness News. He says he “completely disagrees” with the co-founder's “version of events”.

In a statement, the agency reiterates an ongoing investigation will set out the key facts with the findings of the probe set to be published soon.

The lead manager on the account has since been dismissed and three other employees have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Sounds more like Lord Haw Haw.

Are you kidding me?
There's nothing alleged about it.
They did it.

I sincerely doubt there's a forurmite on myBB with the technically savvy (and free bandwith) to be able to set up a spam attack on all of their emails. Sincerely doubt it...
