Does the "few thousand" act in isolation or are they, for example, the military wing of the 1.6 billion ?

Do the "few thousand" act in accordance with the same charter as that of the 1.6 billion ?

I can smell a bit of sarcasm in those posts but I'll answer anyway. :D

Isolation. Muslims don't recruit a couple thousand (or however many Al Qaeda members are) to blow themselves up for the sake of Islam.

Do the "few thousand" act in accordance with the same charter/teachings/koran as that of the 1.6 billion ?
There's many a revered teacher/imam such as Abu Hamza (now jailed in the UK) recruited terrorists, and the top imam of Auz has also promoted the actions of the terrorists, so should we not conclude that they represent Islam and it's teachings?

Of course they don't. Where in the Quraan does it say you should commit suicide for the sake of Islam? AFAIK, a Muslim can only take up arms in defense of his country, that's it. These guys that blow themselves up and kill politicians like Bhutto definitely don't stand for Islamic ideals.

Muslims however ARE very close to their religion (moreso than many other 'mainstream' religions) and things that mock or ridicule Islam tend to get under Muslims skins pretty quick, but some of them take their anger way too far. I've repeated this about a thousand times on this forum so if you wanna believe that Muslims are violent mofos then that's your choice.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Benazir Bhutto died from a skull fracture suffered when she hit her head against her vehicle during a suicide attack, not from bullet wounds, the Interior Ministry said Friday.

Authorities had said on Thursday that she died from bullet fired by a young man who then blew himself up, killing 20 other people. A surgeon who treated her said Friday she died from the impact of shrapnel on her skull.

But later Friday, Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema said all three shots missed her as she greeted supporters through the sunroof of her vehicle, which was bulletproof and bombproof.

He also denied that shrapnel caused her death.

Instead, Cheema said Bhutto was killed when she tried to duck back into the vehicle, and the shock waves from the blast knocked her head into a lever attached to the sunroof, fracturing her skull.

Cheema showed reporters a videotape of the attack, which showed Bhutto waving, smiling and chatting with supporters from the sunroof as her car sat unmoving on the street outside the rally. Then, three gunshots rang out, the camera appeared to fall and the tape ended.
