Let's not pretend that this woman was a saint. She was utterly corrupt and pursued whatever agenda best suited her own personal ambitions.

She was a democratic contender for the top job. Did that make her a target when the current PM is a power-hungry despot, who has removed opposition, rigged the election (already), removed the judiciary and suppressed other freedoms. I think in a climate like that, Richard Nixon would be a saint.
