What's the best 2gb data bundle at the moment?

Currently on the 8ta thing for 149 - but coverage is limited whenever we're out of Cape Town, any other providers have something similar?

Not quite what you are looking for, but Cell-C have a 3GB bundle valid for 365 days for R399. You can only get it from Cell-C stores, but you can get it as a standalone SIM card, or as a voucher to load on an existing Cell-C SIM card.

You should be able to roam on Vodacom EDGE in areas with no Cell-C coverage.

Probably would have been wise to mention. For my iPad. I use between 1 and 2gb a month.

If you blow your 3GB in within 2 months, you can always load another bundle. You don't have to make it last 365 days.

oh wow... old school thread participants.

rapid i reckon you're better off looking at the 100+ gig deals then. Like where you drop 1-2k one shot and get a bunch of gigs that are spread over like a year or so. Cell C should have something suitable I think - haven't looked at it recently.

Who you go with very much depends on coverage where you are most likely to use it.

Vodacom offers

1 GB every month for 12 months @ R 999 once off or
2 GB every month for 12 months @ R 1499 once off.

If I remember correctly there is no data rollover.

I can't find any references to it on the Vodacom website but it appears under the bundles *111#, and also when you purchase bundles via the online portal. O yes, that's on my pre-pay SIM.

Thanks - I recon Cell C and Vodacom probably have sufficient coverage. 8ta is terrible in some area's - my cellphone (Vodacom) has full reception, and I have zero on 8ta
