Best 2MB uncapped account for under R500

Hi guys, I've been using a telkom 4Mb uncapped account but my line has become unstable lately so they downed it to a 3Mb which fixed the problems. Thing is I don't want to pay for a 4Mb line and only get 3Mb so I want to downgrade to a 2Mb line.

So what I'm looking for is a package that includes adsl line rental and uncapped data for under R500 a month, not including analog line rental. I will use it for browsing, gaming and streaming mostly but if I do feel one month I want to abuse it I don't want the ISP moaning and trying to slow me down. So basically I want to also be able to download 27/7 if need be but I probably wont. Full speed torrents during the day would be nice for if I get an itch.

Is this possible?

I'm not a fan of bundling my line with an ISP especially when I'm having line problems so I would recommend leaving your line with telkom.

If you only need a solid connection after 5pm, why not give connection.co.za's 4mb uncapped @ R199 deal a go, having a slower line than the account should prove useful with their policies, but if you do need daytime reliability then wither get their 20GB capped account @ R49 to use then.

I'm not a fan of MTN (axxess/afrihost), their network is too wonky, and Chevron will agree with me on that.

I bit of a hassle, but you will save some money.

I too would like 27 hours a day xD

On a more serious note, keep your line with Telkom. You won't regret it, being able to change ISP without having to reapply for your line everytime is worth it. Check out CrystalWeb, they are reasonably close to launching and are open to customising packages (within a certain limit of course).

Don't care to much about streaming. Want to download torrents and NZBs 24/7 at max (or very close to it) line speed.....Axxess Business Uncapped is your answer.

It varies greatly, it's actually more than I thought, went to the tracker to check from January and it is:

35GB
27GB
70GB
70GB
130GB
67GB
206GB
120GB
57GB

The 206GB was because of the steam sale though I think. Telkom hasn't complained to me but if I move I don't want an ISP that would complain if I hit 206GB again.

Thanks, I thought so. Some people recommended leaving the line with Telkom and just getting the data from them, the cost then is close to what I pay currently so lastly which is better Telkom 3MB uncapped or Axxess 2MB business?

2Meg Business is more stable. Even with Telkom 3meg you could be shaped.
 
I pay around R420 a month for a 2Mbps uncapped - INCLUDING let and ADSL line rental. PM if you want the details.

Think you need to get a normal 2MB account. I manage 220GB on a 1MB business. Unless you not worried about money and don't mind spending R399 for an overkill axxess 2MB business account?

So just drop to the 2Mb/s uncapped account, you will still get those download figures. i would not bundle the line with an ISP, just to much hassles.
