Hey guys

I'm looking to learn some of the Adobe packages - Photoshop, InDesign etc.

What are some of the best tutorials I need to look at, is YouTube a decent source at all for this?

OP
what do you want to learn exactly? how to use the apps or graphic design? knowing how to use the apps won't make one a good designer/illustrator. If you want design you might want to watch some graphic design lectures where you will learn stuff like colour theory, layout etc

Get on youtube and search for design courses

here's a start

udemy, lynda , tutsplus , creativelive

good luck

Sorry, should have been more clear. I'm just looking to get a grip on the fundamentals, basic functions and so on. And then perhaps build on that to more advanced stuff.

inDesign is expensive.
Randhir can offer more assistance on the topic.

The best freeware alternative is Scribus, apparently.

So pick your poison and get your Youtube and Google on.
