I want to start doing some informal youtube and was wondering what ADSL packages are best suited for the uploading of some rather big video files.

I think 24Meg ADSL has 2Meg upload, can anyone confirm?

No, ADSL limit is 1Mbps upload.
VDSL 20Mbps you can get 2Mbps upload, 40Mbps gets 3Mbps upload. You'll have to be extremely close to the exchange and it's costly.

There is the current fiasco with Telkom LTE Uncapped, else I would have recommended that. (They implemented a 250GB soft-cap on it, it's R799 I think)

Upload speeds have always been bleak. I just ordered a 200Mbps line from Virgin that apparently has 20Mbps up though. Not bad.

You can get 3.3Meg up on ADSL2+M but telkom said no.

It a bit of a schlep but buy AlwaysOn data and upload from their various hotspots. Most have at least 10meg upload speeds and accounts are cheap vs what you will pay for DSL with 2-3Meg max upload.

Other option is an LTE SIM from Axxess.

You'll struggle with ADSL. Why don't you just upload during the night and schedule it for the next morning?
