Since many many months I use an ISDN Line to go on internet !! But it's much too slow.

Coming from Europe I'm used to a speed from 1024 - 2048 Kbps.

I will put an ADSL line at home ( 512 kbps )

What is the best provider ? ( Telkom, Axxess ...... )

I do mainly :
- Surf on Internet Web Page from overseas
- P2P ( Kazaa, Emule ... )
- Skype

I'm a bit lost will all those possibilities ( capped, shapped, unshapped, uncapped ... ) . We don't have all those alternatives in Europe.

Thanks for your answers ..... :) :) :)

I would say go with the 10GB from SAOL ... its the cheapest option right now if you need lots of international bandwidth ... or go with openweb 3GB/30GB if you need more local bandwidth.

For service, in my opinion, nobody beats WebAfrica, and their 3GB is only R199.

since your're from europe, actually paying for bandwidth by the gig must seem like an absurd strange practice, but its quite normal and accepted practice here, its like if u were to buy a house, u should pay rates every month, it only makes sense, upkeep (service provision) cost money.

It just stops making sense when the rest of the world doesnt pay rates, but we still do...

anyway SAOL 30gb @ R599 (www.saol.com) might be more suitable for u.
30gb = shaped

Xenakis .... Make sure that SAOL's 30GIG allows p2p if its one of the features you're looking for .....

Sure I need P2P !! It's very important !!

And I must be sure that Skype is working with this provider !! I use a lot SKYPE ( And I think it works on a P2P basis )

Remember, cheapest is not usually the best.

Without a doubt I would suggest Web Africa.

VQuest: me too, but webafrica 30GB is around R1800! :(

xenakis says he needs p2p, i.e bandwidth for downloading.

SAOL is around R600 for 30GB.

cheers
