Since Telkom went south, I have been using Cybersmart's 10mbps offering for R375-00 and for the past 2 months, it's been 100% stable and reliable. They are very quick to point out AFTER subscribing that the account is not for downloading and therefore shape P2P heavily. Pfffft!... like P2P's the source of all downlaod awesomeness! NOT! P2P is definitely not on my list of requirements. I grew out of P2P years ago already - but I have been testing the account's threshold with nntp and expect an abuse mail anytime soon. (+-350gb pm so far). Have not been throttled in any way at all yet. When that happens, Vox / @lantic's bolt-on service makes a lot of sense, considering I am at work in the day anyway and won't leave my system on all day raping the net like the hogs do.
As far as Telkom goes, I heard there are some big changes on the way soonish... but it's all hush-hush. I tried interrogating my Telkom contact, but the person will not tell what it is. So... will wait and see.
Actually its the least affordable for the quality of the service
