Guys

Looking at implementing some changes on the network, any success stories with AV products ?

What do you use to protect machines ?

thanks

Windows 10 already comes with Defender. Why muck about with something else?

Um because like everyone knows its pretty crap
They made many improvements to it in the Anniversary update and even more to come with the Creators Update...

It's fast, gets updated every day and doesn't slow down your PC.

EDIT: That article was posted before Windows 10 came out. Software isn't static and gets updated constantly specially the new MS under Satya brings out new updates almost every day.

EDIT2: Stuff coming to Windows Defender next month:

Windows Defender Security Center
Windows Defender has been added as a default app
You can now run a quick, advanced and full scan
"Device performance & Health" had been added
You can now check for updates directly from the "Virus & threat protection" page
You can now change the Windows Defender settings in Defender itself
Windows Defenders settings are now functional
Family options now help you set up a family or view device information
You can now refresh your PC in Windows Defender
Browser and app management has been added to the home page but is broken

so you saying its not worth my while to get a separate AV ? i mean bit defender looks like it can work better than a windows 10 AV

For me sophos is more for my own awareness but also much finer control.

I also like that I can use it as another level of protection against bad sites, torrenting (I have alerts set up for all torrent and news clients people install and if I want I can block installs for just about any program or category of programs out there).
And for more fun I can control access to devices (dvd, USB etc).

Plan to change to interceptx soon as ransomfree is nice but no central management.
