Best application to download streaming video

Hi

I'm sure this must've been posted already but I couldn't find it, sorry.

What do you think is the best application to download streaming video?

I currently use http://www.orbitdownloader.com/

I works on many sites but not all and is pretty good for plain downloads too.

Does anyone know of anything better?
 
Alternatively go to keepvid.com

Just put in the url of the video you want to download and it will give you multiple download options
 
If you using internet explorer then try real player. Doesn't work on chrome tho.

DO you specifically use Orbit or do you use Grab++? Grab++ has worked on all the sites when I want to grab streaming video, only thing is that I can't use it with Google Chrome but Firefox (no big deal really).
 
Just use Realplayer. Start the video, rest mouse over it and a little popup will show a "Download Video" tab (looks like this) realplayer downloader window pops up and then you can close the original video in your browser.

The videos download into Realplayer's library folder which can be changed by the user. This is the easiest solution I've found for chrome but it works for IE as well, not sure abt mozilla

If you're using mozilla there are add-ons like Video download helper can be a little confusing in youtube especially with the multiple qualities (240p-360p-720p etc) and if there are any other flash items on the site.
