Best Baby formula?

The wife bought Nan and Infracare for our 5month old boy.

Compared the products and they seem almost the same.

What do you guys recommend?

I was recommended something with omega and more protein like infracare gold or something??
 
S26 Gold as recommended by our Paediatrician. I remember a few years back Nestle (i.e NAN )dropped the ball when their baby formula products were found to have very high levels of melamine. I'm pretty sure that is no longer the case though.
 
We are using NAN HA. no problems, baby is doing really well. he is turning 6 months next week, so we start solids... yeah, will save a lot
 
how many months does the boy need to be on formula, until he starts solids?
 
Both our kids were on NAN. Oldest one is now 4 and the baby turns 1 next week and both are as healthy as horses :)
 
We are using Progress S26 Gold for our 4 month old little girl.

This was also recommended by our GP.

I heard that Nan makes your baby pick up weight.

The youngest your baby must be to introduce solids is 4 months.

Good to hear, the wife is a little concerned that we are feeding him krap........
 
Our daughter is 2.6 years old. no issues and not fat or anything like that.
 
We use NAN. I don't think there is a best, it depends what your baby is happy with. S26 Gold is not for everyone, as the formula is fairly rich. Our second was not happy with it at all.

Our eldest was raised on NAN, and she is very healthy.
 
Baby formula(s?e?) are pretty specialized these days. If the child has reflux for instance they'll need a more solid milk so it doesn't repeat on them. I would just experiment and weigh up value until you settle and don't worry if you go through a few changes.

We're paying R135 for a 900g tin of Progress S26 Gold at ToysRus, R149 at most other retailers. Our little bundle of joy went through 3 tins in just over a month. When our 4 year old son was a baby we used about 4 tins a month.

This usually gets less the more solids they eat.
 
It all depends on the baby. There is no perfect formula for all babies.
Some are anti allergenic.(and expensive!!)
Some are more nutritious for the hungry babies.
Some are heavier for the colic babie.
Etc.

What astounds me is that there is a product out there for newborn babies all the way to big kids. They just need to milk the parents all the way (pun intended).
 
I'm giving my daughter s26 and she's always constipated we've started with Nan and switched to S26 but i think it's worse now. Any advice I'm giving her Reuterina Probiotics and colief drops but nothing seems to help.

Try the blue novalac, if that does not work the red one is some type of easy digestion but it is expensive.

Go to the pediatrician. There might be another issue.
 
There is no better formula in my opinion. Just what works for your baby. You have to find the right baby formula. Sometimes you have to switch it up when your baby is sick.
