Best broadband services in SA

I'm amazed MTN's 3G rated so well. MTN's topup prices and often the unavailability of topups at all is enough to make me never use them.

Just returned to ADSL mid June and so far I'm somewhat convinced that there is no "BEST BROADBAND" more so on the home uncapped front.Yesterday I decided to try out Mweb's 7 day 2Mbps trial based on their Rep's recommendation on one forum thread where they assured that it was optimised for streaming and what a load of crock, nevermind the claim on streaming, practically every http site was unusable even at the ungodly hours past midnight where we are fed the lie that there is spare capacity and what what to schedule our "heavy" downloads, but to not even surf http sites is downright unacceptable.

How can NeoFibre be number 1 for Fixed broadband when even their product page over that offering takes a lifetime to load: Neo Fibre

I was also surprised. Neotel is one of the most difficult companies to do business with. They are tied up in red tape. Technically their NeoBroadband Fibre solution is good, but one of my customers is moving away from them due to their inflexible, don't care attitudes and misrepresentation of how their FUP works. Any change wanted requires signing another contract for a 2 year term.

That sounds e like exchange congestion/line fault. Have you tried other ISPs? What line stats does your router show?

Thanks Johnatan56 ,I suspect so,to a point that excluding this Mweb Trial I also signed up with the following(openweb uncapped,Afrihost pre-paid,webafrica 1GB free and Axxess 1GB free and by the way I'm primarily on Telkom 10GB smarthome 2Mbps) and performance seems on par i.e. performance seems to fluctuate drastically between advertised speeds to almost not working in 30/60min intervals.Busy right now speed testing all the above ISP accounts to come to a determination.

Edit: Line stat's show I'm constantly synced at 2040?MB downlink and 502?Kbps upstream(sorry I'm not in front of the router right now and these are technical issues beyond me).
